3D Dinosaur

This is the texture I used for the dinosaur I found it a tricky process and am not happy with the result I found it difficult when trying to create the right tones with the mixture of the texture I feel as if I need to find an easier way to suit my style of texturing.

3D House

This is screenshot of one of the stages of texturing my house it is part of the front windows. I decided to go with a cartoony type texture aswell as toning the colours to create more of a warn away texture. I was inspired byt the textures represented in borderlands.

This is an image of unrapping the UV's for most parts I would find the textures that were important to the model and expand them into the checkerbox whilst others I just left to oneside as they werent as of importance. I found out in this exercise that it is quicker to find what you need and makes the process a whole lot easier.

3D Gun Model

This is my gun that I made in 3Ds Max. It was part of a project where I had to create a replica model of an image of a gun and this is the result. I found it fairly easy although it took me a while to complete it. The main problems I had where figuring out the render process as it was a complicated process.

Sketch 25/04/2012

A simple design of a big humaniod-like character. Mainly focused on the structure of the body and used a bit of tone by smudging pencil and highlighting light with an end of a rubber.

Bubbles Tutorial Photoshop

Sometimes drawing some things on Photoshop can be a bother even the simplest of things such as a bubble. Here is a little step by step way of creating a simple bubble effect, hope this helps:

First of all you want to make a blue background although it doesn't matter i.e. if your making a lava scene. Create a contrasting colour that is preferably one of the lightest colours on your page as it refracts light. For this one I chose plain white.

Choose the soft round brush.

Make the brush slightly smaller than the actual size (won't matter as much if you have pen pressure on) and paint over using the colour in the background or you could choose a colour that is slightly brighter than the background. You could even just rub it out or could play around with the opacity, depending on what your trying to create.

I decided to add light coming from different directions you don't necessarily have to do this but it helps to show where light is coming from. For this I chose a simple hard-edge brush and used the same light as the bubble ring.

Paint study

This is my own little version of a design that 'Bobby Chiu' created http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dib6oA3in0. Through this tutorial I learnt how light can create texture.

This is a screenshot of the part where I focused on using light to show curves in the face.
